Welcome to Playroots OT

About

Hi, welcome to Playroots OT. My name is Michelle Pegler, I am a passionate Occupational Therapist that loves working with young children and their families using an individualized strength based child-lead approach. If you have a young child that could benefit from an OT to help you understand their sensory system, expand the types/amounts of food they eat, play in a back and forth way, participate in self-care activities like toileting, dressing, brushing teeth, washing face, bathing and/or play in a coordinated way you have come to the right place.

My passion for working with young neuro-divergent children began in 2006 in my final early childhood education placement and in 2013, I graduated from Queen's University with a Master's in Occupational Therapy. I have worked in a variety of settings including treatment clinics, client's homes and schools in Toronto, York Region and Orange County in Southern California. I have a passion for learning and have additional certifications in DIRFloortime®, Sensory Integration Training from the University of Southern California, Feeding (SOS approach to feeding & Beckman Oral Motor protocol) and the Safe and Sound Protocol.

If I sound like the right fit for you and your child please contact me, I look forward to hearing from you.
